Rajnath Singh Complete Bio & Career
Rajnath Singh did his school studies from Bhabhaura. Later he then did his graduation from Gorakhpur University and he got his master’s degree in the stream of Physics. He started working as a physics lecturer after completion of his studies at the University in Mirzapur UP. However, At a very young age when he was 13 years of age, he joined politics as well as RSS. As a young Sangh cadet, he contained many positions in RSS.
During the period of 1969-71, he acquired the position of organizational secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad of the Gorakhpur unit. After having joined Bharatiya Jan Sangh, he officially entered national policy in 1974. in the next following year, he was appointed as the Coordinator as well as District President of the famous J.P. Movement. He was arrested even during the emergency situation and stayed in jail for eighteen months.
He was appointed for public office in the lower house of parliament of the legislator of the State of Uttar Pradesh. And the 3 Years after the political establishment of BJP in 1980, he was also appointed Uttar Pradesh Secretary of the party. He was appointed President of Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha in 1984. He was given the position of Education Minister of U.P Thereafter, the BJP gained the majority in the assembly in 1991.
Later, he became a Rajya Sabha member in 1994. In 1997, he became President of the BJP state of Uttar Pradesh. His goal in 1999 was to get transport minister, bringing the highway to small villages. In 2000, he was appointed Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. His tenure was less than a year and a half. In the 2002 elections, the BJP struggled to form the govt but they had to leave their post.
Again, they proceeded to the national level. He was made the country ‘s agriculture minister, however, in 2004 the BJP completely lost its govt. In 2005, he was appointed a national secretary of BJP. He actually brought the party onto the road from the concepts of Hinduism. He became the National President of the Party was managed to hold from 2013 to 2014. Mr. Narendra Modi ‘s newly formed government, on 26 May 2014, he took the oath of Union Minister of India. He has since worked actively as the Union Home Minister of India.
In 2019, he became the Minister of Defence of India & took the oath on 31-05-2019.
