Indian Railways Update: IRCTC Cancels 137 Trains, Short Terminates 10 on May 4; Check Full List
INDIAN RAILWAYS UPDATE: Indian Railways has decided to cancel 137 trains, changed sourced station of 11 and short terminated 10 on Wednesday, May 4 due to maintenance and operational reasons. This includes those cancelled to prioritise the delivery of coal rakes across the country.
The Indian Railways has cancelled over 650 passenger trains to allow faster movement of coal carriages as the nation scrambles to replenish depleting inventories at power plants in a bid to avoid a full-blown power crisis.

Among those cancelled on May 4 are trains that operates between Jharkhand, West Bengal, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Delhi, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh and Kerala among others. The national transporter have put up a list of fully and partially cancelled trains on its website for the passengers’ convenience.
